Due to a impending retirement we are looking for a Site Manager of our Woomelang, Victoria grain storage and distribution facility. You will lead a team to ensure the safe, efficient receival, storage, and outload of commodities whilst being trained by the incumbant. This hands-on leadership role offers variety, autonomy, and a strong connection to both the land and local community.
Bring your operational experience, strong leadership capability, and commitment to safety - and play a key role in keeping Australia’s grain supply chain moving.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of the team; coach and support development of team members
- Get to know, understand and apply our enterprise agreement and people processes
- Develop and maintain close relationships with local growers, customers, and the local community
- Coordinate and prepare for area maintenance and pest control teams to deliver required services
- Identify and report on maintenance requirements and maintain site presentation and standards
- Manage programmes and initiatives related to safety ('zero harm' culture) and risk management
About your experience
You'll succeed in this role if you've had experience in plant operations (ideally the Grain industry) and:
- Proven experience supervising, supporting and developing teams and individuals to achieve operational objectives
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet operational demands
- Comfortable to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Holds a current unrestricted drivers licence with sound basic IT skills
