Planning Your Journey
Arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time to sign in and settle in, ensuring you’re relaxed and ready for the interview.
Safety First
Follow all safety instructions, especially at operational sites. You may be provided with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) if required.

Interview Questions
You’ll likely be asked about your experience and how you’ve applied your skills. To provide strong answers, use the CAR Method:
Context: Describe a specific situation.
Action: What actions did you take? (Use "I," not "we.")
Result: Explain the outcome and lessons learned.
Interviewing via Microsoft Teams
If you’re using Teams for the first time, read through the support guide from Microsoft. You can join a Teams meeting anytime, from any device, without needing an account. Find a quiet space, ensure your camera and microphone are on, and click the ‘join’ link in your email or calendar invitation.

Here’s what you can expect:
1. Application
Once you’ve found a role that suits your skills, apply through our online form. You’ll submit your details and resume and receive an auto-generated email confirming receipt of your application.
2. Shortlisting
We’ll contact all applicants via email or phone with feedback on their application. Our job ads are typically open for 3-4 weeks. If you’re progressing to the next round, a Talent Acquisition team member will reach out for a more detailed conversation about your background.
3. Interviews
Our interview process usually includes two stages, conducted either in-person or via Microsoft Teams. We focus on building relationships, not just reviewing your resume. This is your opportunity to share more about yourself, learn about GrainCorp, and connect with key stakeholders. After the interview, we’ll provide feedback and inform you about the next steps.
4. Checks
Successful candidates will need to complete various checks, including verifying work rights, references, and role-specific checks (such as medical, police, or credit checks).
5. Offer
Once checks are complete, we’ll notify you if you’ve been successful. An offer and contract will be provided to the successful candidate(s).
