About the role

Reporting to the NSW Maintenance Superviser and based in West Wyalong, the Maintenance Assistant provides wide ranging support to the NSW Maintenance team, and this includes:

  • Invoice processing, supplier liaison, purchase order management, preparing MTD financial spend updates
  • Entering work orders into SAP and regular reporting on workorder tracking and backlogs
  • Document management activities for preventative maintenance paperwork
  • Conducting weekly 5S workshop audits
  • Collating and distributing minutes from weekly NSW country planning meetings.
  • The role provides other ad-hoc and general support to maintenance teams.

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate is a Machinist Fitter or Trades Assistant. This individual will has a broad skill set in administrative support, preferably gained in a commercial / industrial trades and services environment.

You’ll have:

  • Working knowledge / experience in SAP maintenance and related modules preferable
  • The capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces is essential
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and systems
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
