About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager - New Zealand, we are seeking a Site Manager for our Waharoa site in a permanent role. This role will see you join an established, industry leader in animal feeds. You will lead and manage the team and Store. Key responsibilities include;
- Ensuring the site runs safely
- Overseeing capital expenditure projects
- Managing stock inwards & outwards and relevant documentation
- Rostering staff
- Overseeing repairs and maintenance programmes
- Actioning tool box talks
- Ensuring production schedules are met
- Inventory management
- Ensure site policies and procedures are followed
- Liaise with transporters
About the person
Our ideal candidate has both operational and front-line supervisory experience in the feeds industry or in a similar bulk handling / warehousing / logistics operation. A deep commitment for customer, quality and safety is essential.
We’re also seeking the following attributes:
- Comfortable with change, pressure, autonomy
- Confident, articulate and collaborative written and oral communication skills / style
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, systems and software
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems and solutions-focused
- Heavy wheels endorsement and experience with loader driving
- Hrs are Mon-Fri, 6 am to 3pm + reasonable additional hours and days (occasional weekends)
