About the role
Reporting to the Capital Delivery Manager – North, this role can be based at our Toowoomba office or from one of several key locations including Dubbo, Newcastle, Fisherman Island, Roma, Moree, or Gladstone. We also offer hybrid working arrangements to support flexibility.
You will be responsible for the delivery to plan of a wide variety of exciting multi-discipline capital projects that range from small procurement projects, to complex multi-million dollar civil & infrastructure builds. Your Project Management skill set will be tested to the full in this client sided role. As an advisor and service provider, you will be required to identify opportunities to improve the business assets and functions as well as run projects from their inception to their conclusion maintaining a transparent and stakeholder inclusive communications program. This is a diverse, challenging, yet satisfying role, where you will not only be delivery projects in a resources constrained environment across a large geographically area, you will also be managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar (accredited by Engineers Australia and/or recognised under the Washington Accord). This role requires influencing and relationship building skills. Experience of managing multi-discipline projects along with the below attributes;
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
- Previous project management experience, including management of site staff, budgets, project expenditure, schedules, safety and compliance in an industrial construction environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and resolve issues
- A willingness to travel - projects will be based across Victoria country and ports
- Computer literacy skills (MS suite including MS Project, Excel and Word)
