About the role
Based at either our Toowoomba, Fisherman Islands or Dubbo sites you will be responsible for the delivery to plan of a wide variety of exciting multi-discipline capital projects that range from small maintenance projects, to complex multi-million dollar infrastructure builds. Your Project Management skill set will be tested to the full in this client side role. As an advisor and service provider, you will be required to identify opportunities to improve the business assets and functions, as well as run projects from their inception to their conclusion. This will done while maintaining a transparent and stakeholder inclusive communications program. This is a diverse, challenging, yet satisfying role, where you will not only be delivering projects in a resource constrained environment across a large geographically area, you will also be managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering with practical experience in supporting and delivering projects in any industry. Project management experience, including management of site staff, contractors, budgets, project expenditure, schedules, safety, compliance and project records in an industrial construction environment. Your skill set could be from a project management, design, site engineering or maintenance background with experience in on-site management of contractors and project activities. Finally, any experience in the design and construction of bulk handling infrastructure including ports, material storage, conveyors, rail, roads, control systems, power systems, and relevant infrastructure will be looked upon favourably.
Other key attributes we are looking for are;
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
• A demonstrated ability to effectively manage and resolve issues that arise during all phases of projects
• A willingness to travel - projects will be based across NNSW and Qld country and ports
• Computer literacy skills (MS suite including MS Project, Excel and Word)
Finally, you should be willing and able to travel in the role: 1-2 day trips / month during planning phase; 2 days / week for a few consecutive weeks during construction phase; a little more than this for larger commissioning projects.
