About the role
We are seeking an Operations Specialist for a permanent position based in Toowoomba, Qld. This role is responsible for the development of Grains Operations staff with a focus on standardisation and consistent use of best practice operational management techniques. The responsibilities of the role will include:
• Identify and develop site efficiencies, safety improvements, cost reductions and business development opportunities across multiple sites – drive continuous improvement as part of our operation
• Assist leaders in the efficient day to day operations and performance of the business’ workforce, meeting critical operational standards, fixed and mobile equipment and assets.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, policies and procedures
• Drive zero harm safety culture
About your experience
Candidates will have prior experience in Operations (either country or port sites), with experience operating & maintaining GrainCorp mobile plant & equipment. Candidates will also display:
- Strong understanding of standard operating procedures and ability to coach operational teams in adoption
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high standards of operation at sites
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Flexibility and willingness to travel weekly (a private use vehicle is included in the generous package)
- Understanding of the supply chain
- Demonstrated ability in people management
- Intermediate MS Office skills
