About the role
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced HR professional to join our People & Culture team at GrainCorp. This role is all about impact—helping shape the employee experience, supporting leaders, and building a positive, values-led workplace culture.
Reporting to the General Manager – Human Resources, you’ll be a trusted partner across the business. Whether you're based in Toowoomba, Brisbane Ports, or Hamilton (QLD) and this role offers hybrid working. You’ll be empowered to lead initiatives that matter, including:
- Designing and delivering a strategic people plan
- Coaching leaders in modern, values-led leadership
- Supporting EA negotiations and industrial relations activity
- Embedding our values in everyday decision-making
- Activating talent and driving learning and development
- Supporting key people initiatives like goal setting, performance reviews, employee surveys and talent reviews
- Managing employee relations issues with confidence and care
- Ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and awards
- Acting as a connector between our HR specialists and the business—solving problems and making things happen
About you
You’re a commercial, pragmatic and people-first HR Business Partner who’s driven by impact. You know how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, and you thrive in environments where change is constant and pace is high. Most importantly, you genuinely care about people and want to make their work experience better.

- Proven experience in a true HR Business Partnering role
- The confidence to work autonomously and make sound decisions
- A strong commercial mindset and understanding of business operations
- Experience leading HR strategy and implementing high-impact projects
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to change
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
- This role suits someone who can think big but act small, who is just as comfortable in the boardroom as they are on the ground with teams—someone who wants to help people and businesses thrive, together.
