Salary: Package up to $300,000 inclusive of super (commensurate with experience and qualifications) + bonus opportunity and company vehicle

We’re seeking a Head of Nutrition Services Australia (NSA) to lead the strategic direction, development and delivery of our livestock nutrition business. You will shape NSA’s strategy, own the P&L, and build a high-performing team with a strong ruminant nutrition focus—while exploring monogastric opportunities as the market evolves. You’ll also contribute to the broader GrainCorp Nutrition & Energy leadership team, offering viewpoints, R&D support and insights that drive enterprise success.

This role will lead the identification, execution and optimisation of nutrition programs aligned to client needs, regulatory standards and commercial goals. You’ll manage multiple high value initiatives, oversee formulation and scientific rigor, and maintain a hands-on, client-facing approach that delivers timely feedback, accurate close-outs and measurable impact.

Key accountabilities:

•    Deliver NSA’s strategy and growth initiatives, with full P&L accountability (revenue, margin, cost efficiencies)
•    Lead a results-driven team of NSA nutritionists (with dotted-line support from admin), ensuring strong engagement and completion of development plans
•    Ensure timely client response, reporting and close-out adherence with high data integrity
•    Build capabilities in ruminant nutrition; assess and develop monogastric expansion as opportunities arise
•    Represent GrainCorp at least once per year at a global technical livestock nutrition forum
•    Drive operational excellence across compliance, quality, performance metrics and continuous improvement

Your experience:
Our successful candidate will come to us with a minimum undergraduate degree in Agricultural Science or similar, or Veterinary Science; a Masters or PhD in livestock nutrition is preferred.

•    Proven experience in the Australian livestock nutrition & welfare industry
•    Client facing experience with a hands-on approach (including on-site engagement and tailored solutions)
•    Strong analytical, collaborative, and solution focused capabilities
•    Deep proficiency with formulation software and data interpretation
•    Demonstrated P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting and ROI tracking
•    Ability to manage time, prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines
