About the role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and based out of our Tamworth office this role will see you working with the Regional planning team and the National Asset Manager to plan for appropriate network assets to be deployed in most efficient way to achieve the monthly and weekly plans. 
 

  • Liaise with both the National Asset Planner and Area Planners and Operations teams to ensure appropriate allocation and utilisation of all assets. 
  • Circulate the plan with the monthly planning team and Area managers to ensure maximum GrainCorp value delivered and feasibility 
  • Management of assets including movement within the region ranging from mobile equipment (loaders, stacker, trucks, alternators etc) including completion of MOR’s as well as tarps, grain stocktakes and hire equipment
  • Collaborate with the Labour Planner to ensure shift scheduling is delivered efficiently
  • Work with the Operations team to ensure the rail wagon cleaning program is undertaken efficiently
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance and Capital teams to schedule the shutdowns and major works.
  • Collaborate effectively with the rest of the Supply Chain Planning team to include all relevant factors into the plan
  • Monitor the gap to monthly plan, resolve any weekly exceptions and escalate strategic annual exceptions to the annual planning team
  • Provide input into planning tools and recommendations for continuous improvement and ensure data informed decisions are made through utilization of tool
  • Maintain consistency across the network. 


About your experience
Our successful candidate will come to us with a proven background in either an operational or logistics planning role with exceptional attention to detail. Other key skills for this role include; 
 

  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills 
  • Sound understanding of the resourcing needs of our sites throughout the annual cycle
  • Proven planning and organisational skills to coordinate the allocation of equipment and labour across our sites
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
