About our team

Our unique mix of agribusiness and processing operations connects grain growers with domestic and international customers, to process grain and oilseeds into food and feed ingredients. As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals.

We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. Feeding the world is a big responsibility and partnering with growers and customers to meet this challenge is what drives us to improve and evolve.

About the role

Due to an internal transfer, GrainCorp is currently seeking a Grain Marker, based in Tamworth NSW. This role will primarily focus on engaging with our grower customers across Northern NSW, both accumulating grain to align to the purchasing strategy and servicing growers at an operational level who are delivering into our supply chain. Your success will be largely determined by your ability to build strong relationships and successfully interact with growers in your region.

About your experience

Ideally you will have an agricultural background, with a strong understanding of the grain industry, commodity markets and supply chains. You will also have an ability to build and maintain strong relationships and interact with key industry stakeholders to help achieve the goals of the business. 
In addition to the above you will also;

  • Understanding of trading risk management, commodity balance sheets and crop forecasting. 
  • Sound understanding of grain supply chains including storage, logistics and grain flows
  • High level of integrity, strong work ethic and passionate about agribusiness
  • Local knowledge, building trust and developing relationships and involvement within the community highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Economics, Commerce or Business desirable.
  • A valid driver’s licence & able to do some travel throughout the year.  

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical.
