About the role
Reporting into GrainCorp's Financial Controller, we are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager. You will operate at the centre of an ASX-listed control environment, partnering across the business to ensure best-in-class reporting, compliance and financial governance. Based at International Towers Barangaroo, one of Australia’s most sustainable and award-winning workplaces, you will have the flexibility of 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the end-to-end group consolidation and statutory reporting process within an ASX-listed environment
- Lead the preparation and delivery of half-year and full-year financial statements in compliance with AASB, IFRS, the Corporations Act and ASX/ASIC obligations
- Ensure best practice application of accounting standards across the Group
- Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions, including M&A, restructuring and strategic initiatives
- Oversee the general accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity across reporting cycles
- Lead disciplined month-end and period-end close processes, ensuring quality and timeliness
- Manage interim and year-end audit processes and external auditor relationships
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and reporting governance frameworks, including oversight of IT General Controls
- Contribute to broader finance strategy and transformation initiatives
- Support major strategic projects with financial accounting leadership
- Drive automation, reporting efficiency and data integrity improvements, optimising SAP and ERP platforms
- Build and lead a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and fostering accountability and continuous improvement
About your experience
You are currently operating within an ASX-listed organisation (or have strong ASX-listed experience) and understand the rigour, scrutiny and complexity that environment demands.
You will bring:
- Post-qualification experience within a large ASX-listed organisation or Big 4 accounting firm
- CA/CPA qualifications
- Deep expertise in Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, the Corporations Act and ASX/ASIC reporting obligations
- Demonstrated experience leading statutory reporting in a listed or highly regulated environment
- Strong SAP and ERP experience within complex, multi-entity structures
- Experience operating within large organisations with an international footprint
- A proactive, commercially astute mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong leadership capability with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
