About our team

We supply and refine oils used in food and animal feed products, as well as non-food industrial products such as biofuel. As Australia and New Zealand’s largest edible oils business, we provide expertise at every step of the processing chain to deliver high quality products at competitive prices.

GrainCorp Foods source a wide variety of oil types used in an extensive range of complex product formulations, designed to meet the many applications and functional needs of the food industry. We also supply an extensive product range to food manufacturers, wholesalers, bakers, quick service restaurants, foodservice and retail customers throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

About the role

The newly created role of Sales & Marketing Coordinator in our Foods business provides essential and comprehensive support to a geographically disbursed team of key account managers and the National Business Manager (who the role reports to).

An ideal platform for developing the skills to take on a longer-term career in business development, you won’t be short of opportunities to make a real business impact across the portfolio.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Maintain reporting, systems, processes and customer / competitor databases and provide accurate standard and custom reports to account managers for a range of needs
  • Prepare monthly PowerPoint presentation packs for customer reviews and coordinate presentation decks and tender information to customers
  • Manage customer data, business opportunities register, cycle plan and customer profiles and be our champion for Microsoft Dynamics, our CRM solution
  • Manage some smaller customer accounts, including outbound call cycle (warm leads) as well as generating customer leads in target segments & categories
  • Implement end user promotions in conjunction with the National Business Manager
  • Manage the Foods website including website updates and follow through with enquiries / raw leads
  • Support the implementation of marketing and branding strategy including production and management of marketing materials, brochures and product launches
  • Provide overflow support for our customer service team and associated reporting.

You’ll have opportunities along the way to deepen your understanding of our product portfolio through targeted training sessions and to travel to our facilities across Australia and New Zealand to see our operations and enhance your engagement with our account management, customer service and coordinator teams.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has a shared passion for quality food and ingredients, growing business relationships and driving opportunity.

You’ve already gained some experience in a customer, sales or sales support role within any part of the food industry (e.g. agri, food manufacturing / processing, distribution, foodservice) underpinned by:

  • Experience working in a CRM and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills to prioritise activities, meet deadlines, manage expectations and coordinate work effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; confident with a wide audience
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential and a focus on producing quality work, generally.

Preferred candidates will be required to provide proof of working rights and suitable professional referees.
