About our team

As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals. We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role

GrainCorp is currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst, for a 12 month contract, to assist with harvest analysis. The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Assess analytical models and their application to increase the intrinsic value of grain (location, quality and time)
  • Scoping and model construction, utilising existing software and coding/scripting
  • Drive continuous improvement and enterprise value accretion in a collaborative way
  • Develop and implement, in consultation with key stakeholders, a robust data governance framework for input data and output from models 

About your experience

This role would suit a recent graduate with a qualification in economics, business or mathematics, or a candidate with some experience in supply chain or commodities. Candidates will also display: 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Strong Microsoft Word, Access and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of the fundamental economics in a commodity trading environment
  • Ability to present in a professional and confident manner
  • Exceptional analytical, research skills 

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police check.
