About the role


The GrainCorp Human Resources team enhances the employee experience, developing engaged and capable employees who proudly connect with customers and communities to deliver value.

We’re seeking a highly capable and motivated HR Business Partner to join our Sydney office (in a hybrid work model).

You’ll report to our GM Human Resources with a diverse corporate portfolio comprising International Trading; Finance; Technology; Feeds, Fats, Oils & AgriEnergy; Legal & Corporate Affairs; Growth & Innovation; and Safety, Health & Environment. The portfolio includes a largely salaried workforce, spanning eight countries.

Specifically, you will:
 

  • Partner with people leaders across your portfolio, providing thoughtful and best practice advice in areas relating to people and employee relations. Work in partnership with the business to provide specialist coaching, support and influence that enable leaders to effectively deliver their people plans
  • Work with the General Manager, HR to deliver best practice and commercially focused HR solutions that support the business in conjunction with specialist HR functions. Work cohesively with other HR teams to drive the delivery of key projects aligned with business strategy
  • Deliver key initiatives in line with the people calendar including remuneration and talent reviews.
     

About your experience


Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in human resources, with solid partnering experience gained in a complex, commercial setting (experience with corporate functions essential). You should also have:
 

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Australian employment law and practice; ER/IR experience essential
  • High level interpersonal, communication, coaching, influencing, change management and presentation skills
  • Highly resilient and able to cope with ambiguity and shifting priorities; flexible to work outside of business hours given geographic spread of portfolio 
  • Proven planning and time management skills; ability to deal with / prioritise both strategic and day-to-day requirements.


In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police, credit and bankruptcy check.
