About the role

Reporting to the State Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day management / coordination of used cooking oil collections by company and contract drivers. The role is also responsible for:

  • Reviewing and optimising scheduled runs to improve run efficiency, performance and lower overall cost of service
  • Coordinating the delivery, installation and training requirements for equipment (tanks) in a timely manner and maintenance of same
  • Assisting in the engagement of contractors and performance to standard agreements for the installation and repair of tanks, vehicle maintenance and collection services
  • Conducting daily driver debriefs and a participate in formal toolbox meeting on a monthly basis
  • Coordinating driver hours, annual leave, RDO’s and ensuring appropriate coverage and developing contingency capabilities; manage timesheet and support payroll processes
  • Ensuring drivers and contractors are accountable for safe work practices and standards including driver fatigue management and chain of responsibility requirements.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has experience in transport or logistics scheduling and operations and associated scheduling systems. An applied understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations, Chain of Responsibility and/or driver fatigue management principles would be valued though not essential.

You’ll also have:

  • Previous experience coordinating truck and/or equipment maintenance schedules and activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good numeracy and reporting skills
  • Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
  • Strong computer literacy with intermediate level MS Office skill
  • The ability and willingness to travel semi-regularly would also be appreciated.

Preferred candidates will be required to provide proof of working rights and suitable professional referees. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
