About the role

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Training Development & Delivery professional with a passion for the country who is also passionate about making a difference to people in primarily regional locations by ensuring positive training and learning experiences.  The successful candidate for this role will have exceptional stakeholder management skills and can build rapport quickly whilst also ensuring 'learner buy in'. 

In this role you will design, develop and  maintain of our in-house training modules. Located at either Toowoomba or Tamworth you will support the Grains East Coast Australian business - whilst there will be some travel involved, it will not be extensive.  You will report to the Senior Manager, Northern Supply Chain and (with a dotted line) to the GM, Organisational Development. You will be accountable for ensuring that the current training modules are consolidated, updated and refined. This way, translating  its key messages and learning principles into modern learning packages.

About your experience

The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced Adult Teacher – ideally you will have experience designing training packages and have 'Trained the Trainer'. Someone who may have delivered training for individuals with learning difficulties would be highly regarded.  

Other key criteria for this role include but are not limited to;

  • Experience in Instructional design and training content development
  • Qualification in Training or Education
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in an Operational environment
  • Experience in the development of training frameworks, training content and delivery of training material.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships at all levels
  • Previous experience with Lean Systems
  • Experience in dealing with Geographically isolated and diverse work groups
  • Proven experience building rapport with stakeholders
