As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals. We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role


Several permanent, full-time positions offered under our current enterprise agreement.

Bulk Grain Handlers (Terminal Operators) at our port-side grain terminals are critical to ensuring that we deliver an efficient and safe service in exporting and importing grains and other commodities. This includes wheat, barley, sorghum, pulses, woodchips and cement products. 

The core activities of a terminal operator include rail and road receival, shipping, road outloading, plant hygiene, container packing, bunker storage operations and grain assessing, among others. As a member of a multi skilled work environment you will be expected to take on other activities within the plant in accordance with training and experience.

About your experience


We’re seeking individuals with experience in plant operations in any industry or the ability / willingness to do this type of work. Additionally:
 

  • Flexibility to work nights / weekends when the terminal operates 24/7
  • Good communication, teamwork and customer service skills
  • Capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Bonus: truck licence, loader, forklift or skid-steer experience.


In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, preferred candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical.
