About the role

GrainCorp is currently seeking an Operations Assistant based at our Fisherman Islands site to provide full administration functions to support the Ports Operations Manager, Site Managers and operational team.

Specifically, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to:

•    Maintain and monitor systems supporting the operations including purchasing, Safeguard and employee learning
•    Support the compliance of Health, Safety and Environment management systems, policies and procedures
•    Provide professional and timely customer service to existing and prospective internal, external and corporate customers
•    Distribute key operations information to both internal and external stakeholders
•    Administrative project work as required
•    Super User of Kronos (Time and Attendance) and providing high level support to Site Managers and Operations Supervisors 
•    Coordinate Local training for employees
•    Coordination of casual recruitment.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification in business administration, accounting or similar and good experience in an administrative support role within a relevant industry (logistics / supply chain, agriculture or similar). Candidates will also demonstrate:

•    Intermediate - advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, databases and systems) 
•    Demonstrated experience in an Administration role
•    Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels 
•    Demonstrated experience in assisting in the preparation of budgets
•    High level interpersonal skills including customer relationship management skills
•    Basic understanding of Payroll function
•    Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
•    Ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment.

Progressed candidates will be required to provide proof of working rights and suitable professional referees. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
