About the role

We have an opportunity for a transformative Maintenance Manager to join our based flexibly in Queensland to lead our Country and Ports Maintenance teams.
This is a critical role, key responsibilities include:
- Establish new ways of working and develop a strong Maintenance Leadership team
- Lead and manage Planning and Scheduling to improve availability and efficiency
- Lead all safety, health and environment values
- Ensure effectiveness and reliability of fixed and mobile maintenance
- Coach and mentor teams and Supervisors to enhance capability
- Assess labour utilisation for effectively addressing maintenance activities
- Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Lead a strong Safety culture and change management initiatives
- Assist in developing and maintaining long-term maintenance strategy
- Monitor and manage purchasing processes and ensure budget adherence
Also to note that this role has includes travel across our central QLD and Port sites. The travel can vary; however is usually more frequent during harvest. Normally though you could expect it to be a couple of days every other week or 1 week in 3 approximately.
About your experience
Ideally our successful candidate has a proven track record as a Maintenance Manager within any industry with preference for those with multi-site experience. Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, prioritisation and planning skills are a must in this position - HOWEVER we are open to a Supervisor looking for a step up if you are the right candidate. We value aptitude, attitude, values allignment and an ability to understand change and support the process. Other key skills we value in this position are;
- Commitment to safety
- Demonstrated experience planning and scheduling within SAP
- Experience mentoring and coaching Maintenance Managers/Supervisors and employees
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience within a technical or centralised function
- Experience championing change and with change management principles
- High level customer service focus
- Strong leadership skills and qualities
- Proven time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and be resilient
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and collaboration
- Ability and willingness to travel within QLD
- A background in a Mechancial or Engineering trade
