Rate: $38.80 per hour

GrainCorp’s Pinjarra facility undertakes canola crushing, refining, bleaching and degumming, which enables us to collaborate across the value chain from seed breeders, growers, storage handlers, oil refiners and feed millers to wholesale and retail customers.

We’re seeking a new colleague to join the small team as Assistant Operator. Perfect opportunity to learn a trade and be trained in first aid, forklift and loader driving. This is a rotating shift role that will see you undertake a wide range of activities across the site including:

•    Assist the Plant Operator in running the plant in accordance with documented quality, environmental & safety procedures

•    Record relevant production, quality and weighbridge data including data entry/access of systems

•    Collect samples and conduct routine Quality testing of in-process and final product

•    Operate the weighbridge for all incoming and outgoing loads

•    Load transport with outgoing product including oil and meal in all quantities

•    Practice excellent housekeeping and handover the shift with all tasks completed, plant clean and tidy.

About your experience

•    Some experience in an operational role such as labouring, trades, logistics / warehousing, agriculture, or similar

•    Keen attitude and ability to learn quickly

•    Mechanical aptitude to undertake basic troubleshooting and diagnostics

•    The capacity to undertake manual handling and lifting up to 25 kg
