About the role


We are currently seeking a Grain Handler for our site in Oaklands (working at other nearby sites as required) in a permanent capacity. 

A Grain Handler supports local growers and customers by receiving, storing, maintaining and out-loading grain. The role will also entail:

 

  • Receiving and handling grain
  • Cleaning and hygiene on site
  • Weighbridge operation 
  • Loader Operator experience 


The type of work you undertake depends on the skills, experience, knowledge and tickets or licences you hold as well as the requirements of the site at which you’re based. These attributes also help determine the grade we might appoint you at under our enterprise agreement. The agreement will also set out any provisions available to you such as overtime and allowances, etc.

About your experience


Candidates will ideally have some experience in general labouring, and have the ability to work in confined spaces at times. You will have a good work ethic and want to learn. A valid drivers licence is an absolute must have along with:

  • Good communication skills
  • Safety-conscious behaviour 
  • A forklift, front end loader ticket or an HR Truck licence will be advantageous
  • Reliability
  • Computer literacy

 

Most importantly you will have a 'go get em' attitude and want to learn!
