As an Australian regional Canola seed crusher and oil refiner we support the local oilseed industry with a range of Canola oil and Canola meal for local and international markets. We provide the components for cooking oil, spreads and shortening, prepared foods, meal for dairy, poultry and livestock, cosmetics and lubricants, fuels and other industrial applications.

 

We source oilseeds from growers and accumulators in Australia to crush and create products, including crude degummed oil, refined bleached oils and Canola meal, a by-product of oilseed crush which is used for animal feed.

 

We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our laboratory at Numurkah. The team provides a range of analytical, microbiological and operational quality services.  

 

Day-to-day, you’ll evaluate and determine the suitability of product to be released whilst providing exceptional service and ensuring that all external/internal customer requirements are met. You’ll also provide technical support and advice to various teams including manufacturing and refinery; manage quality control production records; investigate non-conforming product and maintain analytical and microbiological equipment.

 

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has the following attributes:

  • Degree in science, food science / technology, chemistry OR vocational qualification in laboratory techniques is highly advantageous
  • Experience gained in a laboratory setting such as food manufacturing, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and flexibility to work on a rotating roster Mon-Sun incl. public holidays
