About our team

As an Australian regional Canola seed crusher and oil refiner we support the local oilseed industry with a range of Canola oil and Canola meal for local and international markets. We provide the components for cooking oil, spreads and shortening, prepared foods, meal for dairy, poultry and livestock, cosmetics and lubricants, fuels and other industrial applications.

We source oilseeds from growers and accumulators in Australia to crush and create products, including crude degummed oil, refined bleached oils and Canola meal, a by-product of oilseed crush which is used for animal feed.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced maintenance professional for our oilseed crushing and oil extraction plant in Numurkah – a facility which has seen major capital investment over the past five years resulting in state-of-the-art, zero effluent emission, canola oil extraction, a 40% increase in crush capacity and continuing people-centred and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for:

  • Ensuring effective, safe and timely planning of work requests and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Monitoring and converting work orders, checking status and contributing to accurate reporting of maintenance metrics to key stakeholders
  • Preparing for the annual maintenance shutdown, a major task that requires detailed communication, planning and scheduling
  • Management of the site’s CMMS to ensure alignment with the maintenance procedures, supporting a continuous improvement of site reliability
  • Influencing plant availability by minimising asset downtime and controlling work order backlog.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has experience in maintenance planning / scheduling within any industry (manufacturing preferred). Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, prioritisation and planning skills are a must in this position.

You should also have:

  • Planning experience in a known CMMS (SAP a bonus)
  • Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude
  • Awareness and understanding of budget constraints
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic capability.
