About the role
Looking for flexible, hands-on work in the grain industry? We're seeking a casual grain handler to join our team in Nhill, with the opportunity to support nearby sites when needed.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys physical, outdoor work and wants variety in their days. Hours and days will vary, so you'll need to be available on a casual basis and comfortable with a changing schedule.
A Grain Handler supports local growers and customers by receiving, storing, maintaining and out-loading grain. The role will also entail:
- Receiving and handling grain
- Cleaning and hygiene on site
- Weighbridge operation
About your experience
Candidates will have prior experience in general labouring and have the ability to work in confined spaces at times. Experience in either agriculture, logistics, trades or construction. Candidates will also display:
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Safety-conscious behaviour
- Flexibility to work varying hours when needed
- Reliability and a solid work ethic
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems
