Maintenance Planner/Scheduler - Newcastle or Port Kembla

About the role

Reporting to the NSW Maintenance Manager and based flexibly from either of GrainCorp’s Newcastle or Port Kembla offices, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for:
 

  • Working with operations to develop and maintain the maintenance schedule for Newcastle and Port Kembla Terminals
  • Planning materials, resources, equipment and contractors for planned preventative and shutdown maintenance works
  • Consulting with operations supervisors / leaders on preventative maintenance activities and equipment servicing
  • Partnering with maintenance supervisors to schedule resources effectively
  • Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
  • Maintaining up-keep and accuracy of technical information and equipment maintenance history
  • Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems.


There is infrequent travel initially in the role between these sites as you familiarise yourself with our operations.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has solid experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within any industry with preference for those with multi-site experience. Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, prioritisation and planning skills are a must in this position.

You should also have:
 

  • Planning experience in CMMS (SAP desirable)
  • Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude
  • Awareness and understanding of budget constraints
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic capability.


In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, preferred candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
