About the role

In this important role as Site Manager you will be supervising GrainCorps largest inland site in Victoria. You will based at our very busy Murtoa site where there are up to 100 people working throughout harvest. We pride ourselves in delivering for our customers by 150k radius out of our Murtoa site.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Supervise a large team of Grain Handlers to ensure that the site runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Assist the Area Manager in planning, resourcing receivables and out-loading of grain during both normal and peak season periods
  • Manage the grain receivals and outload in safe and efficient manner.
  • Follow and will help to ensure others follow all OHS systems and procedures
  • Develop and maintain business relationships, specifically with growers and customers; and maintain awareness of local priorities and issues.
  • Develop & maintain effective Grower group/s
  • Managing site budget
  • Dealing closely with internal and external customers
About your experience

To be successful in this role you will need experience of managing a team. Whilst this role is very hands-on, we require someone who is keen to progress within the company. You will be able to build strong relationships within the community and be aware of competitor activity. A sound understanding of OHS requirements and basic computer skills in Microsoft Office are also required.

We are willing to provide training if you are keen, eager and can pick things up quickly. It will enable you to learn the day-to-day operations of running a site which is important to progress within our business. If you have initiative, a great attitude and are a fast learner, this could be the role for you!

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, preferred candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and criminal history check. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
