About the role

Based at our Miles site in Queensland an opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Fitter. This role will play a key part in ensuring that the site maintenance is performing to budgetary, productivity and economic goals whilst meeting all qualitative, legislative, statutory requirements and audit standards. Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor the role will entail:

•    Respond to and rectify breakdowns in a timely fashion
•    Adhere to the Maintenance Operational Plans
•    Coordinate and communicate timely and effective maintenance schedules and plans to ensure delivery of maintenance services
•    Notify relevant teams of planned Maintenance 

About your experience

Candidates will have prior experience in Maintenance role working in an industrial, manufacturing or agricultural concern. Candidates skills and experience will also include:

•    Trade certificate in Fitting & Turning, certain other trades will also be considered (Boilermaker) 
•    Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Protection legislation and best practice.
•    Have a general knowledge of computerized maintenance programs such as SAP
•    Licences for Forklift, Front End Loader and EWP are not essential but preferred


You will be comfortable to work reasonable overtime and occasional weekends. Occasional travel will be required to different locations.
In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, preferred candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical check. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
