About the role
 

  • This position's core work days are Monday - Friday  
  • Permanent, full time position
     

The Road Freight Planner will report to the Road Freight Manager and be based from our Marong regional office (hybrid working environment). You’ll join a team accountable for Accountable for planning all operational aspects of GrainCorp’s supply chain, including contract and order management, schedule, timeslots, and road freight provider management.

Specifically, you’ll:
 

  • Ensure freight is scheduled and executed in the most efficient way to meet the current and future demand of internal stakeholders and customers
  • Manage third party bulk handling network and/or ex-farm execution orders
  • Undertake administration associated with customer order execution, including delivery confirmations and reconciliations when required
  • Undertake execution planning activities, including vehicle management, e.g. costs, monitoring deliveries in journey, reviewing load plans with clients for campaigns, etc.
  • Maintain master data in our systems for contractors, sites, customers and order processing

 

About your experience
Candidates will have prior admin experience ideally in logistics or supply chain.  Your technical skill set should include intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and technologies. We also value your strong communication, time management, customer and stakeholder management skills. Other key skills we are looking for include; 
 

  • Relevant industry experience, ideally bulk focussed 
  • Product knowledge, including but not limited to commodity specifications, supply chain planning, end- user customer requirements, freight, grain markets, arbitrage, and trade rules. 
  • Experience in customer management and influencing skills across multiple stakeholders 
  • Able to manage tasks with a high level of ambiguity to make customer and operation decision in a timely manner. 
  • Proficiency with CoR regulations including CoR awareness training and basic fatigue management
