About the role
 
•    Hybrid working pattern - 3 days in the office/2 days at home
•    Tool of trade vehicle provided
•    Permanent position
 
GrainCorp is seeking a Grain Marketer based at our Marong office.  This role will see you drive our grain origination strategy with growers in Victoria, be responsible for enhancing the grower customer experience when dealing with GrainCorp, and accurately manage production estimates and forecasting. You will be responsible for engaging with growers and originating grain directly from them to provide a critical link between the business and our customers. Your success will be largely determined by your ability to develop strong relationships with growers in your region. 


About your experience
Ideally you will have an agricultural background, with a 'customer first' mentality, a strong understanding of the grain industry and market drivers. You will also have an ability to build and maintain strong relationships and interact with key industry stakeholders to help achieve set objectives. In addition to the above you will also;
 
•    Understanding of trading risk management and crop forecasting capability
•    Sound understanding of grain supply chain including storage, logistics and grain flows
•    High level of integrity, a proactive style and strong work ethic
•    Local knowledge, building trust and developing relationships within the community, highly regarded
•    Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Economics, Commerce or Business desirable
•    Excellent communication skills  - we value robust conversations within the team
