About the role


We’re seeking an experienced Trader to join our Kyiv office. Reporting to the COO and partnering closely with our Singapore trading office, you will:
 

  • Grow trading to destination markets for Ukrainian crops
  • Broaden the customer base of Ukrainian origin
  • Participate in the development of trading and risk strategies 
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationship
  • Deliver on financial targets of the business within company trading risk policy
  • Analyse, identify and implement commodity trading strategies through fundamental analysis and appropriate risk vs. reward.

About your experience


Our ideal candidate is an experienced trader within physical grains and oilseed commodity and futures markets. You should have fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian languages. 

Additionally, you will have:
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, economics, agriculture or other relevant discipline
  • Strong technical analytical skills within commodity trading, detail orientated aptitude and a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of Asian, European and Middle East grain consumers and market and culture
  • Experience in the origination and sales of Black Sea and European grains and oilseeds
  • International commodity contract terms, management and sales experience
  • Strong understanding of grain logistics and global supply and demand and how to maximise returns within the market using that knowledge
  • Strong commercial experience and negotiation skills and manage disputes.


In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake background checks.
