Servicing more than 350 markets in more than 50 countries, we originate grain from Australia, Canada, the UK and Ukraine, and connect directly with customers through overseas offices in Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Delhi. With seven ports on east-coast Australia and a joint-venture port in the final stages of construction in Vancouver, Canada, we offer high-speed long-distance rail export capability.

Our processing businesses service foods customers with edible oils that are specially blended for infant formula, bakery and large-scale food manufacture.

Our bulk commodity business is Australia and New Zealand’s largest exporter tallow and Used Cooking Oil (UCO), some of which is processed for upcycling into biofuel. Meanwhile, our feeds businesses use edible oils and molasses-based products to boost farm productivity.
 

About the role


The Senior Business Systems Analyst reports to the Director General of our Kyiv office, with a matrixed reporting line to the Trading Systems Manager in Sydney Australia.

You’ll be supporting our Kyiv office and partnering closely with our endpoint, infrastructure and group applications teams in Sydney as well with vendors to:
 

  • Analyse and resolve incidents and service requests to agreed SLAs within an ITIL context 
  • Understand impact on business teams / process and provide input as to root cause and potential solution/remedial actions
  • Work closely with business teams to identify, analyse and document business requirements in relation to system changes and enhancements  
  • Produce functional specifications that document the desired outcome of system enhancements to vendors
  • Test fixes / enhancements and support to business teams around UAT 
  • Look for ways to continually improve user experience and work closely with Application and Infrastructure teams to ensure standard processes and procedures adhered to.
     

About your experience


Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in an information technology or related discipline, with solid experience in systems or business analysis supported by fluency in written and oral English (as well as Ukrainian and/or Russian). You should also have:
 

  • Application support experience and Knowledge of ITIL incident management
  • Understanding of system/software development lifecycles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with vendor resources to achieve business outcomes
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work under pressure
  • A working knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.
