About our team

Auscol is a specialist in the environmentally responsible collection and recycling of used cooking oils and fats. Our operations service all the states of Australia and our network has coverage of 97 per cent of the Australian population.

About the role

Based out of Auscol’s North Fremantle facility and reporting to the Nattional Sales/State Manager WA/SA, our Vehicle Operators provide a safe and efficient service collecting used cooking oil and supplying recycled oil product (Fry Fresh) across Perth metropolitan areas as well as to some country locations.


We service a wide range of businesses from small through to larger-scale commercial food operators such as KFC for example. Week to week, you can expect to be moving anywhere from 2,000-3,000 L of oil between customers and our depot.

Vehicle Operators are employed to drive Monday to Friday with a span of hours that will see you driving anywhere between 8-10 hours (up to a maximum of 12 hours in any shift) with a 1-hour break. 

Other important aspects of your new role:

  • Professional driving: exhibit a safe, professional and positive driving persona at all times
  • Safety: adhere to Auscol and customer safety requirements; adhere to all legislated safe driving and fatigue management requirements; report and act on hazards, safety incidents and near misses
  • Truck maintenance: pre-start checklist; report and document truck non-conformances
  • Customer service: ensure customer equipment is neat, clean and operating correctly (report any issues to office); adhere to customer safety and other requirements on site.

About your experience

We’re seeking a professional, reliable team player with a current, clean HR licence and solid experience in a similar professional driving role. You should have a sound understanding of the principles of fatigue management, safe driving and a deep respect for workplace safety in a general sense.

We use iPads to coordinate our run schedule and daily reporting and you’ll have above-average skills in the use of technology like this or the ability / willingness to learn.

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical (including professional driver medical) and criminal history check. A vehicle licence check will also be required.
