As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals. We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role

The Project Supervisor / Manager reports to the Capital Delivery Manager (North) to deliver projects across our Northern NSW  network of country and port operations. 

With the support of a dedicated design team and contractors, you will be accountable for the delivery to plan of a wide variety of multi-disciplinary capital projects that include civil works, bunkers, roadworks, paving, electrical and larger structural projects. Our projects range in value from $10-250K, with Tier 1 projects ranging from $1-5M.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate is degree qualified in mechanical or civil engineering with 2-3 years post-degree experience in supporting / delivering construction projects in any industry. You should also have:

  • Some exposure to managing contractors, budgets, project expenditure and/or project records
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and problem-solve / troubleshoot issues confidently
  • Outstanding communication, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Conversant in the use of technology, software and systems including MS Office (SAP a bonus).

Finally, you should be willing and able to travel in the role: 1-2 day trips / month during planning phase; 2 days / week for a few consecutive weeks during construction phase; a little more than this for larger commissioning projects.

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
