About the role
Specifically, the role entails:
- Preventative and planned maintenance (PPM): setting schedules, monitoring progress, reporting on performance and ensuring work is completed on time and to standard
- Maintenance: manage open work orders to completion; prioritise activities and balancing labour and budget
- Breakdowns: manage response to breakdowns, especially those impacting service levels; resource allocation; records management; fatigue management during critical breakdown repairs; ensuring critical parts are on hand
- Budget: ensure maintenance spend in line with budget; support for maintenance labour spend; escalate high cost repairs to Maintenance Manager
- Continuous improvement: building a culture where every team member looks for smarter, safer and more efficient ways of working
About you
Our ideal candidate holds a trade certificate in a relevant discipline (electrical, fitting / machining, boiler-making for example) who brings both technical skill and leadership confidence to an industrial environment. You'll thrive in this role if you bring:
- Proven experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities (SAP or MEX experience is a bonus)
- Confidence in supervising teams working under an enterprise agreement
- A solid understanding of managing a maintenance budget
- Passion for safety and a genuine commitement to continuous improvement
- The flexibility to travel across our regional cluster, supporting multiple site and providing consistent leadership where needed
- A home base in Dubbo or within a close commuting distance
