Maintenance Mechanic - Dubbo

About the role

GrainCorp is currently seeking a Mechanic to work with our maintenance team on site in Dubbo. The role will entail:
 

  • Working on Preventative maintenance jobs on heavy machinery. 
  • Attending to breakdowns.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor on budgets and cost management
  • The successful candidate will have an opportunity to broaden their experience with heavy, mobile plant, machinery
  • Travelling within the cluster to assist with repairs and installations. 


Please note: During peak periods such as harvest your remit may be extended to include work at other NSW locations.

Position offered under the GrainCorp Operations Limited - NSW Country Operations (AWU) Enterprise Agreement 

About your experience

Candidates will have prior experience working as a Mechanic dealing with heavy and mobile equipment such as frontloaders, bobcats, cranes and conveyors. Candidates will also display:

 

  • A sound mechanical understanding 
  • Experience working according to preventative maintenance schedules 
  • Trade qualified as a Mechanic, other trades such as boilermaker or fitter will be considered with mechanical experience
  • Truck licence will be beneficial 

 

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
