About our team

Our unique mix of agribusiness and processing operations connects grain growers with domestic and international customers, to process grain and oilseeds into food and feed ingredients. As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals.
 

We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. Feeding the world is a big responsibility and partnering with growers and customers to meet this challenge is what drives us to improve and evolve.

About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, and based out of our site in Cootamundra, we’re seeking a permanent Maintenance Fitter to join the team, with responsibility for a broad range of mechanical servicing, maintenance, installations and upgrades of fixed and mobile plant and equipment.
 

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
 
•    Fault finding and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
•    Attending sites outside of normal hours (as directed) where equipment failure or breakdowns impact on immediate operations
•    Preparing and submitting maintenance reports as requested
•    Record keeping for compliance.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has a relevant trade certificate in mechanical, fitting and turning or similar. You will have proven fault-finding capabilities and be proactive and safety focused. Computer literate, self-motivated and reliable, you’ll have solid time management abilities and a high standard of communication.
 

The ability to work at heights and within confined spaces is required. A HR licence would be preferred, but not essential.
 

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
