Salary: $110K-$115K incl. Super + bonus

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to come in and assist our payroll team. This role is based in our Barangaroo head office with 3/2 hybrid working pattern on offer.
The responsibility of this role includes:
- Providing accurate, compliant, efficient and timely payroll services
- Provide advice and support to HR/Business Partners, Rem & Reward, Managers and employees
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with other payroll officers and HR/finance partners across the business units
- Work autonomously within areas delegated while contributing to a strong team environment
- Assist the payroll team with BAU training
- Provide mentoring and support to other payroll team members
- Focus on process improvements throughout the Group Payroll function by taking a lead in recommending changes to process pays more quickly or reliably
- EA & Award interpretation.
About your experience
Our successful candidate will come to us with prior experience working in a large payroll function, ideally with EBA and compliance experience under their belt. Candidates will also display:
- Payroll knowledge in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of relevant payroll related legislation eg payroll tax, superannuation
- Experience with payroll computer systems experience including SAP/Peoplesoft/other HR/Payroll system
- Advanced Kronos or other time and attendance system knowledge
- Advanced computer skills including Excel
- Excellent communication skills including an ability to develop strong working relationships internally and externally
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of award/EA interpretation, UAT and PVT for EBAs
- Proven track record in making improvements to payroll processing
