About the role
GrainCorp is currently seeking a Procurement Excellence Manager. This role will ideally be based out of the International Towers on the harbour foreshore of Barangaroo at one of Australia’s most progressive workspaces and one of the world’s most sustainable commercial precincts. (However if you are in Victoria or Queensland and want to discuss working from one of our sites please let us know!).  The role is offered on a hybrid working pattern - however flexibility will be key in this position. 
 

You will report directly to the General Manager, Procurement, with the key objectives of this role being to streamline procurement workflows to improve processes, increase efficiency and secure cost-effective solutions.  Responsibilities include: 
 

  • Implement standardised procedures and process improvements across all procurement activities
  • Identify technology solutions to enhance efficiency and optimise workflow
  • Establish supplier evaluation frameworks to ensure reliability and compliance
  • Design and deliver training programs for the Procurement team and internal business partners


Your experience
Our successful candidate will come to us with proven experience in Procurement - we are open to industry however manufacturing would be highly regarded. Other key skills we are looking for include; 
 
 

  • Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain; inventory management and stores knowledge would be valued
  • A proven track record in establishing governance structures and implementing technology solutions
  • An ability to naturally influence - you will engage stakeholders with ease and negotiate successfully 
  • Process design and improvement - the ability to design processes that support business requirements
