About the role
GrainCorp is currently seeking an Occupational Health Specialist to lead the establishment of health and hygiene standards across our operational sites. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with legislative obligations while driving initiatives to promote a safe and healthy working environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing health and hygiene standards aligned with GrainCorp’s policies and industry best practices
- Maintaining the health risk register, with a focus on legislative compliance and managing psychosocial risks
- Leading health surveillance programs, analysing trends, and delivering health management solutions
- Interpreting health impact data to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Promoting workplace health through broad-based health promotion initiatives
- Managing health management systems, maintaining accurate data, and analysing trends
About your experience
Candidates will have a tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline and the ability to interpret health impact data and ensure compliance with legislative obligations. Candidates will also display:
- Proven experience in health management, including surveillance programs and data analysis
- Familiarity with health management systems and a track record of identifying and addressing health trends
- Experience in implementing broad-based health promotion initiatives
- Understanding of injury management and return-to-work programs
- Expertise in system management and setting up health management systems
Progressed candidates will be required to provide proof of working rights and suitable professional referees.
