With seven ports on east-coast Australia and a joint-venture port in Vancouver, Canada, we offer high-speed long-distance rail export capability.
 

Our processing businesses service foods customers with edible oils that are specially blended for infant formula, bakery and large-scale food manufacture. Our bulk commodity business is Australia and New Zealand’s largest exporter tallow and Used Cooking Oil (UCO), some of which is processed for upcycling into biofuel. Meanwhile, our feeds businesses use edible oils and molasses-based products to boost farm productivity.


About the role
Reporting to our GM, Nutrition & Energy, the Head of Relationships - Sales will be based out of the International Towers on the harbour foreshore of Barangaroo at one of Australia’s most progressive workspaces and one of the world’s most sustainable commercial precincts. Hybrid working arrangements are available. Whilst we would prefer this role to be based in Sydney - we are open to other location for the right candidate. 
 

The key purpose of this role is to lead a team of customer focused sales and services individuals to drive sales across the Nutrition & Energy product ranges. Other responsibilities of this role include; 
 

  • Creating and maintaining sales budgets and sales forecasts; supply as inputs into Integrated Business Planning and longer term strategic planning processes
  • Develop sales strategy, including plan, process and methodology with clarity of roles to support effectiveness
  • Driving the wider implementation of an Integrated Business Planning process within the sales teams
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers across the Nutrition and Energy product categories
  • Give direction to the Sales & Customer Service teams to optimise overall productivity and performance
  • Leveraging real, verified data to assist in decision making processes 
  • In conjunction with Product Category Heads identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to modify existing products and services to accommodate new customers and potential revenue streams
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to develop, implement and evaluate marketing initiatives across Nutrition and Energy product categories
  • Understand customer landscape and develop go to market strategies for lead generation, monitoring, and conversion
  • Participate as a member of the GrainCorp Nutrition and Energy Leadership team creating a sustainable business into the future
     

About your experience
Our successful candidate will come to us with a proven track record in either an Agribusiness, FMCG, F2B or B2B sector.  You will have tertiary qualifications in marketing, economics, business or related discipline and hold contemporary views around business development.  Key to your success will be;  
 

  • An understanding of agricultural markets 
  • Previous experience within a customer focused digital transformation 
  • Ability to use a range of strategies and skills to create and coach a highly motivated, results oriented team
  • Demonstrated data driven decision making
  • Collaborative with exceptional communication skills
