About the role

Reporting to the Refinery Team Leader, we are seeking a Refinery Operator to join our GrainCorp Manufacturing team, on a rotating shift basis, located in East Tamaki.  You will be responsible for:

  • The process, set up and control of our edible oil refinery operations, ensuring that oil processed is the correct quantity and is made to quality specifications.
  • This role will see you participate in fault finding and troubleshooting for designated process as well as support maintenance activities in shutdown and preventative maintenance activities. 

About your experience

You will present with demonstrated experience working ideally as an operator within the manufacturing or processing plant environment.  You will be a highly motivated individual, with a demonstrated ability to learn new processes quickly. Your mechanical aptitude, fault-finding and ability to troubleshoot will be your added value. You will have a desire to continuously develop your experience and learn new skills. In addition to the above, the successful candidate will display the following:


  • Strong communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and SAP as well as an understanding of SCADA systems.
  • The following attributes are considered desirable
  • Trade Certificate
  • Previous Lean Manufacturing Experience

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, preferred candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical
