About the role

Reporting to the Reliability Engineer, and based at our Nurmurkah site, this role will see you undertake electrical maintenance, repairs, validation, installation and breakdowns for electrical and instrumentation. This position will be on a rotating shift consisting of days and afternoons - however at times this may change. 

Other responsibilities will include;

•    Assist the Site Managers and Maintenance Supervisor in the planning of major maintenance tasks
•    Obtain a thorough understanding of oils processing technologies
•    Participate in programs for Hygiene, Pest Control, Risk Assessment, OH & S and training
•    Attend Tool Box meetings 
•    Actively participate and promote site safety and security
•    Actively participate in communication with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor daily 
•    An ability to work effectively and productively in a team environment 
•    Ensures adherence to all Australian electrical regulatory  and safety requirements 
•    Flexibility with working hours for emergency call out on nights, weekends, public holidays 

About your experience

To be successful in this position you will have the following;

•    The capacity to work independently and as a member of a work team 
•    A trade qualification as an Electrician
•    'A' Grade’ qualification
•    Proven experience post trade
•    Experience in fixed and mobile plant
•    Fault finding experience
•    PLC exposure/programming experience
•    Computer skills/be computer literate  
•    Strong problem solving skills
•    Strong communication skills
•    Food Safety / HACCP process experience
•    Ability to be flexible
