About our team

We are Saxon Agriculture, a UK-based seed and grain merchant. We specialise in the trade, import and export of cereals, oilseeds and pulses and are a leading supplier of arable seeds and organic agriproducts in the UK.

We have integrated operations across seed sales and contract seed production, merchanting of cereals, pulses and oilseeds, merchanting of organic grain and feed-products, in-house supply chain logistics, all backed by end-to-end quality assurance.

About the role

We’re delighted to seek expressions of interest for a Credit Controller to join our local finance team, based at Swaffham.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:

  • Contribute to preparation of month and year end business management accounts in a timely and accurate manner, including sales ledger, debtors and creditors, and cashflows
  • Credit limit management, credit control and banking
  • Undertake sales ledger journals and banking reconciliations
  • Support the management of debtors including chasing payments and coordinating collections
  • Support the delivery of multi-disciplinary analysis and reporting such as debtor / creditor and working capital reports, credit and contract risk reports, budgets and forecasting
  • Assist with banking requirements and input to daily/weekly cashflow forecasts for trading business
  • Contribute to monthly inventory accounting control, including stock reconciliations with storekeepers.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has solid experience in managing accounts receivables and collections within a complex organisation and:

  • Strong capability working with finance systems
  • Proven experience in improving systems, processes and procedures
  • Strong prioritisation and planning skills; strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.


  • Tertiary qualification in accounting (ACA, ACCA or CIM)
  • Experience gained in agriculture, trading, supply chain.
