About the role

Based from our Winnipeg trading offices and reporting to the Trade Execution Manager, we’re seeking a new team member to join us as Trade Execution Coordinator to manage the execution of grain contracts for both bulk and container shipping. You’ll mainly look after execution for Canada but will also work closely with teams in other geographies.

Specifically, you will:
 

  • Execute national and international bulk and container contracts from point of export to point of import
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including traders, charterers, brokers / forwarders / shipping lines, etc.
  • Manage day to day tasks such as planning, shipping, invoicing, presenting documents and monitoring payments from the export or purchase point to the import or sales point
  • Ensure compliance with all export and import requirements as well as with the company’s corporate policies.


About your experience

Our ideal candidate has will have a tertiary qualification in agriculture or logistics with an interest in grains or related commodities. This role is open to graduates looking for an opportunity for a career in trade execution.

You should also have:
 

  • Communication skills
  • PC skills, specifically Excel and other MS packages
  • Time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage deadlines 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.


Due to the nature of shipping operations, flexibility and availability outside of standard working hours is required from time to time. Preferred candidates will be required to provide proof of working rights and suitable professional referees.
