About the role
As our Warracknabeal Assistant Site Manager, you will report to the Site Manager and work alongside a team of permanent Grain Handlers that together deliver a safe and effective service in the recieval, storage and outload of grain via road and rail.

In addition to undertaking a wide range of grain handling activities that are core to our operation, you will:
 

  • Coordinate day-to-day workflow of the team and support to attract, select, train, and develop permanent and casual team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups and internal stakeholders
  • Assist the Site Manager to implement and review site budget, participate in site financial planning, and to achieve site targets (e.g., $/tonne targets, road haulage rates, receival/outload KPIs)
  • Support the resource planning for grain receival / outload activity during peak and off-peak periods
  • Support the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety and quality activities and related reporting
  • Supervise a large seasonal workforce during our busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites. 


About your experience
Our ideal candidate has plant operations experience gained in any industry, a strong safety mindset, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the thriving agricommodities industry. You should also have:
 

  • Some experience in supervising teams (or the potential to)
  • Good communication skills, time management and IT literacy
  • Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
