About the role
We are currently seeking a permanent Operations Assistant to be based at our Wagga Wagga offices. You will be responsible for providing full administration functions in support of the Regional Operations Manager, Area Managers, HR Business Partner and broader New South Wales country operations team.
Specifically, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to:
- Maintain and monitor systems that support operations, including purchasing, learning and finance
- Provide support in relation to our safety management systems, policies and procedures
- Provide professional and timely customer service to existing and prospective internal, external customers
- Distribute key regional operations information to both internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake administrative project work as required
- Act as a super user of Kronos – our time and attendance system; provide high level support to operations leaders
- Coordinate regional training for employees
- Coordinate the annual harvest casual recruitment process
About your experience
Our ideal candidate has proven experience in business administration, accounting or similar and good experience in an administrative support role within a relevant industry (logistics / supply chain, agriculture or similar). As this role supports our front line staff we are also looking for an individual who is personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates will also need to demonstrate:
- Analytical understanding and the ability to read a P&L Statement
- Intermediate ability in MS Excel is required as well as some experience with finance, procurement and/or people management systems (ideally SAP but not essential)
- High attention to detail and timeliness in completing work; a proactive approach to work in general
- Positive outlook and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Basic understanding of payroll, return-to-work coordination and safety, health and environment.
