About the role
GrainCorp is currently seeking a Draftsperson, based at our Newcastle Site, to join the Design and Innovation team. The responsibilities of the role will include:
 

  • Develop drawings in accordance with the GrainCorp computer aided design drafting manual and procedures
  • Providing drafting support to engineers and maintenance staff to assist with planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Undertaking quality assurance functions including checking of others work and backdrafting
  • Completing CAD designs in accordance with Engineers Specifications



About your experience
Candidates will have experience with AutoCad, ideally having worked in an industrial environment working on mechanical components as well as material handling designs such as conveyors, silos and chutes. Candidates will also display:
 

  • Advanced experience in modelling and preparing drawings using AutoCAD
  • Experience with 3d Modelling as well as preparing 2D drawings
  • Strong and effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Computer literacy skills (Microsoft suite including Excel and Word)
  • Certificate in Drafting or similar qualification
