Process Engineer - East Tamaki

About the role


GrainCorp is currently seeking a CI Process Engineer / Implementation Manager based at our site in East Tamaki, to lead improvements through identification and resolution of inefficiencies, and deployment of continuous improvement methodologies across the site. The responsibilities of the role will also include:
 

  • Responsibility for optimisation of all site production processes, including troubleshooting and correcting processing issues
  • Delivering process design and optimisation, software specifications, mechanical specifications and product development, for both new and existing plant and equipment to ensure the Company achieves its business objectives
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships and engagement with operations staff to facilitate process changes, coaching, training and CI initiatives
  • Providing Project Management of capital projects
  • Offering engineering and technical support to external foods customers when required.

About your experience


Candidates will have a relevant Engineering qualification with experience in an industrial or food manufacturing environment. Candidate will also display:
 

  • Experience in an industrial or food manufacturing environment, preferably in a vegetable oil processing or similar industry
  • Good knowledge and application of such knowledge of all statutory and legal requirements as it relates to safety and the environment
  • Sound knowledge of current and emerging industry best maintenance practices
  • Solid experience and commitment to Safety, Health and Environment
  • Experience with systems and standards particularly SQF, RMP, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001
  • Ability to maintain budgets and coordinate projects and achieve planned timelines
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Successful track record in managing contractors, particularly in manufacturing environments.
