Salary: Up to circa $220,000 (including base and super) + bonus opportunity

We’re seeking a high-impact leader to join us as our next National Maintenance Manager—a critical role shaping the reliability and performance of our Eastern Australia (ECA) network across country sites and ports. Reporting to the National IDM Manager, the National Maintenance Manager will lead the safe, consistent, and cost-effective delivery of maintenance activities across GrainCorp’s operational assets. This includes fixed infrastructure, mobile plant, and the national maintenance fleet.
Your mandate will be to:
- Define and drive key maintenance KPIs: SQDCP, availability, reliability, labour efficiency, & safety metrics
- Lead and coach Maintenance Managers to uplift team engagement and maintenance performance
- Publish and manage a weekly national maintenance schedule
- Build and embed a robust preventative maintenance plan for stackers, DOHs and generators
- Manage national maintenance budgets and resource planning
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships and influence decision-making across the organisation
- Lead a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
- This is a leadership role where day-to-day coaching, capability building, and strategic oversight go hand in hand.
You’ll be a leader who has:
- A degree in engineering or a trade background with additional maintenance engineering qualifications
- Extensive experience managing maintenance functions in heavy industrial environments
- Proven understanding of safety management systems, CMMS, and industrial relations (including EBAs)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and maintenance budgeting
- Strong stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and negotiation expertise
- A clear, decisive leadership style with a track record of developing high-performing teams
